SAT = A High Schooler's Worst Nightmare...

      Imagine sitting in a room full of strangers for four consecutive hours punching numbers into a calculator, getting hand cramps from writing two pages and then staring at page with a story on it that after  a while it begins to look like alphabet soup...well congratulations, this form of torture is called the SAT and did I mention it kind of determines, I don't know...oh yeah, YOUR FUTURE
     The SAT was supposedly invented to see what a high schooler has learned about reading, writing, and math and each college/university has an average range of scores their freshman class averages. In other words its just another thing for me to stress out about over "my future," where I want to go to college (which I still have no idea), and more homework because I now have to study for this test too....great.
   If you love the SAT, great, if you like wasting your Saturdays on a test, great, but neither of these two things describe me so thank you for listening to me vent and if you took the SAT this past weekend or you will in the near future, good luck my friend...you're going to need it.

Atlanta Thrashers

         When it comes to hockey, recently the Atlanta Thrashers have been dominating. They have been on a six game winning streak, which is amazing, especially for the Thrashers. Everything was going fine until Sydney Crosby swooped in with a hat trick* this past week to end their six game winning streak :( The final score was 2 to 3 with the Thrashers only losing by one goal. ( I would just like to point out that offense man Evander Kane, who had played in the past six games they Thrashers won, was missing due to an injury when they played Pittsburgh, and look at that, they lost....interesting.) Some people say after losing to the Pittsburgh Penguins the Thrashers couldn't come back, however, the Thrashers proved them wrong...
        This past Saturday the Thrashers came back and beat the Washington Capitals and they didn't even have the home "ice" advantage! With a lot of help from Dustin Byfuglien (pronounced Buff-lin) and and a fairly recent addition to the team, the 18 year old Russian, Alexander Burmistrov. The Thrashers look like they have got a successful season ahead of them, only time will tell.

*hat trick - three goals in one game by the same person
